Designed with the right balance between weight and protection, to be recyclable and compostable and often made from sustainable materials, paper packaging (for the food sector and not only) has become an important tool for the society and in favor of environment increasingly appreciated and preferred by consumers.
With their current recycling rate of 80%, paper and carton stand out above all other packaging materials in terms of the possibility of reuse and they are increasingly requested by food manufacturers who pay attention to quality of the environment as well as of its products.
To meet these latest market needs, Ricciarelli SpA and LandoPack FTA have developed and designed a new forming tube for the production of paper packages for horizontal flowpack packaging machines, with fixed collars horizontally positioned with reel from above or below.
Following the tests made, we have obtained important results that allow us to guarantee our customers:
- an almost unchanged production capacity of the packaging machines that currently work with plastic material;
- greater stability of the paper film during the unwinding phase of the reel;
- a larger section for the passage of the product.
This new solution can be installed on new horizontal packaging systems or even on Ricciarelli machines already existing and in operation, so as to be granted to anyone the possibility of converting their production to a more sustainable packaging.
